Code of Conduct for Student Recruitment Agents and Internal Staff

All accredited agents must confirm to the Code of Conduct (COC) with the following guideline:

All agents must be transparent in their dealings with potential students vis-à-vis information on course, course fees, course criteria, course commencement dates and pathway.
All agents must conform to the terms and conditions as stipulated in the Agent's contract. All agents must be truthful in their declaration given in the Agent Application Form.
All agents must not collect any course fees from potential students. Instead, the students must be given all information pertaining to the ICA's terms and conditions particularly the clause on non-employment while on student pass.
All agents must not collect any unauthorized fees except for ALBM's $300.00 non-refundable registration fee. If the agent renders any additional services to the student like notorial, legal, documentation and passport application service, the agent should bill the student separately for these services with the expressed approval of the students.
All agents must not misrepresent misdirect or misinterpret any laws in Singapore for the purpose of misleading students.
All agents must endeavor to ensure that all documents submitted by students are authentic.
All agents must declare the commission amount received by them if the students wish to know.
All approvals, rejections, requests by ALBM and ICA must be communicated to students as expeditiously as possible.
Agents must not controversies any expectation stated in service department agreement.
Agents must not be engaged in any unethical practices such as making claims, warranties, reputation or statement which may be false, untrue ambiguous, misleading, inaccurate or fraudulent.
Agent must be aware of all relevant Singapore laws and regulations of any government agency and do not contravene these laws and regulations.
Agents must apply principles of fair trading when recruiting students and must not engage in high pressure sales, bait and switch advertising or similar unfair practices.
Agent must not be negligent, careless or incompetent such that they compromise the integrity of ALBM and Singapore's reputation.
Agents must follow ALBM's procedures to clarify any doubt.
Agents, notwithstanding the above, must not act in a manner that does not prejudice the good name, SOPs, systems, policies and procedures of ALBM and endeavour to settle all student grouses in an amicable manner.
